Hi, I’m Krystal (she/her) and I became a therapist because…

I am dedicated to breaking down the stigma around mental health. I believe that everyone has a story that is valid and unique, and deserves a safe place to share it.

I am passionate about my relational work with individuals who are motivated for positive change. I have developed a personal and profound appreciation for the unique qualities that each client I work with brings to their treatment and healing.

My Education and Training: I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon in 2007, and received my Master of Arts degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling (PMHC) from Lewis and Clark College, Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2018, which is a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP). I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon, and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington. In addition to holding a degree in Counseling Psychology, I have also have advanced training and completed certificate work in the treatment of disordered eating and troubled food relationships through Lewis and Clark’s continuing education program. As a Licensee of the Oregon board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, and Washington board of Licensed Mental Health Counselors, I abide by their Code of Ethics. To maintain my licenses, I am required to participate in annual continuing education, taking classes dealing with subjects relevant to this profession. I may substitute professional supervision for part of this requirement.

Personal Statement: I provide modern, relatable, safe, and non-judgmental counseling, as well as a space that is free from diet culture and negative body talk. I am inclusive for ALL body sizes, beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and stages of life.

Outside of the therapeutic space: Proud to be an Oregon native, I love spending time on the coast, and exploring other beauties in the Pacific Northwest as much as possible (photo above taken at Timothy Lake, Mt. Hood National Forest). I am a dedicated lover of cats and can often be found snuggled up with mine every chance I get. I find some of my own therapy through listening to many types of music and attending live concerts. I am passionate about experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, decorating cakes for family events, exploring new restaurants, and especially enjoy spending time and having fun with those who mean the most to me in life.
